The client brief was to partly demolish an existing single storey rear extension and replace it with a new two storey extension, incorporating a glazed gable and first floor balcony, to benefit from the amazing views of Chew Valley lake.

In addition a single storey office extension was added to the side elevation. Internally, the kitchen was opened up to create an open plan family room maximising the views of the lakes and also daylight into the building.

The small family bathroom was relocated to the front of the house to enable a new 'feature' staircase to serve the converted loft space.
